Q. What documents will I need to get a mortgage?
The required documentation varies from buyer to buyer and state to state. Here is a list of the basic documents we may need from you:
- Two months consecutive bank statements
- Two most recent paystubs
- Names and addresses of employers for last two years
- W-2s for last two years
- If self-employed, the last two years complete tax returns
- Once you’ve found the home you want and are ready to move forward with your mortgage application, you’ll need to provide a copy of the home purchase contract signed by you and the seller
- REMINDER: each individual listed on the loan will need to provide their financial information
